Local couple bilked in ‘mystery shopper’ scam (The Mail Tribune)

A Trail couple lost $3,820 after participating in a “mystery shopper” job, only to find out it was a scam, Shady Cove police said. The young couple learned about the opportunity to evaluate local branches of national retailers online and signed up, Shady Cove police Sgt. Julie Denney said.
