CONSUMER ALERT: Phone Scam Hits Northeast Iowa (KCRG-TV9 Cedar Rapids)

FAYETTE COUNTY – The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office would like to alert the public of a cell phone scam taking place. Reports say caller wants you to verify your debit card number in order for your card to remain active. The calls are coming from an area code beginning with either (601) or (714).
